Susan Fisher-Alexander - I am an Oregon native and was raised outside a small community of 450. I hold a B.A. in education from EOU. I have lived in Oregon all my life with about 6 years where we lived in Flagstaff, Arizona and Davis, California. My experience as a residence hall director in Arizona prepared me for being a classroom teacher and to meet new people. I have taught in the public schools for over 18 years. Most of the time was spent as a 6th grade teacher and bits as pieces as a Media Specialist and now as a 5th grade teacher. I married Bill 31 years , and we are raising 2 wonderful children, Neil (9) adopted from Korea, and Khoa--pronounced Qua-- 6 adopted from Vietnam. I traveled to Asia for Khoa's adoption and even took the 4 year old along when we went to pick Khoa up! We have lived in Pendleton, Oregon, for the past 22 years and I enjoy living in the Umatilla River Basin. Pendleton is famous for its Round Up rodeo in September, Live Underground tours,
Tamastslikt Cultural Center (CTUIR) and its proximity to the Blue Mountain range. We are located on the edge of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and along the Old Oregon Trail.
