Our Students Students going abroad are ‘ambassadors’ for the USA and NW Services. We expect our young representatives to show a level of maturity, academic achievement and adaptability above the norm for their age group. They need to be tolerant, flexible, and curious. They need to have the level of language knowledge required by the country they are visiting—or the ability to learn the language quickly if previous knowledge is not required. Although having fun is part of our program, they are not vacations but opportunities to increase the student’s understanding of another culture, country and language. We only accept dedicated students between 15 & 18 of good character and expect them to be positive representatives of our country and our agency. |
 NW Services PEACE Program is a student exchange program dedicated to bringing the youth of different nations and cultures together at a personal family level, building friendships that can last a lifetime. NW Services was founded with the belief that increasing cultural understanding and tolerance between nations is the first step to reaching a true peace within the world. We are proud to now be able to offer the same quality of programs to Americans that want to study abroad. |
Our Partners Our carefully selected international partners provide the same high level of care and concern for our outbound students that we give our incoming students. Host families will speak some English and schools and classes are chosen to match your level of the native language. You will need to be fluent in the native language to get credit for your classes abroad. If you are not fluent you may be asked to take an intensive language course prior to school starting at an additional cost. Our partners interview host families in their homes and check references. There is a coordinator who facilitates a positive experience for the student. All of our partner agencies provide a 24 hour emergency number. In addition all students are given a number to call in the USA in case of an emergency. |
